On another note all things being equal I got no problem with Proctor retaliating...except that our bullpen could use still a bit more rest, and we have 6 more games vs them...today probably wasn't the smartest time to do it, especially since Phelps sort of started it in the first place.

the local paper had an article exposing him for just the same thing - that pavano was determined to get tommy john surgery and was waiting for someone to diagnose him.

i don't know how insurance works in MLB - but if i were the yankees i'd try to accuse pavano of breach of contract, or something similar.

I'm still shocked that he didn't get cut after last year when he crashed his ferrari and told no one about it...as far as insurance goes the Mets got 75% back from Mo Vaughn's contract a few years back...I hope the Yanks have a similar clause as well.
