Re: Dumb spot in RR pot with AK unimproved and weird stacks
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] bet/folding is horrible since you have to call even if he flips QQ face up. [/ QUOTE ] yea but so why is b/f better than c/f in your opinion? is it related to his flat/flat line pf? [/ QUOTE ] b/c you mean I assume. I prefer b/c since I think you have FE. If he has some small/medium pair, it's not going to be a snap call. I want him to have a chance to make a massive mistake and fold it. On the same note, him calling with it is also a mistake since he's completely killed by our range but that's more about your overall game than just this hand. On the same note, it's no big deal regardless of what he has. Against any realistic range, we have great equity. I also wouldn't underestimate the benefit of people seeing you play AK unimproved like its the nuts. Basically I think b/c is more profitable than c/f and it's also way better for your image regardless of what happens. |

Re: Dumb spot in RR pot with AK unimproved and weird stacks
I agree with Dire's image argument.
Tho, in the back of my mind, I'd check, take a free turn if I get one and hope to hit there. If he bets weakly I might shove on him (he has like 130ish left on the flop with a 72$ pot, if he bets like 35, he still has 95 left to fold for.) + more monies to win through his weak bet on the flop + looks stronger and IS the way I'd play an overpair, really + makes you look even more like a mean maniac once you get called and lose - probably has less FE than b/c? I dno really, would you bet out 60$ if you had aces? would you shove TT in his spot if a guy bet out like that? I mean... you're calling anyways.. In these spots I rather shove it in myself than having to call with a worse hand... I think I like the C/R AI best here.. depending on your image and style. Feel free, to flame me. /edit: though... on second thoughts betting 60$ really tells him you're committed and calling anyways, so probably has more FE than the C/R AI... I dno... money is going in either way (unless he checks behind), up to your judgement which play he's more likely to fold to. |

b/c or push depending on which you think will have more FE against this guy, prob b/c

Re: Dumb spot in RR pot with AK unimproved and weird stacks
Why are people b/calling here??
Really, I don't get it. Is it cuz he's pushing w/ unpaired cards x% of time? Assume we bet $50 |

Re: Dumb spot in RR pot with AK unimproved and weird stacks
being that he is a total unknown and utg, i am def just calling here pf, and as played c/f, id rather not have to stick it all in on 25%
