Default check turn or not

Should i have checked the turn for pot control or bet?

I like... I think the river is a fold.

On this turn: If villain is on a draw he still is. This sudden raise is funny. Maybe he slowplayed an overpair, set or twopair on the flop, maybe he has 33. He'll have to prove by betting again on this river, besides, we still have outs to a straight/trips/twopair (if that's good)...

sightless: Interresting. I put him on a draw quite often, so I'd automatically bet.

What would you do if he checks behind and the river is 9+ and he bets? He could have a bigger pair or a straight if we hit twopair...

What would you do on the river if he checks?

Bet more on the flop, bet more on the turn, fold to the miniraise.

He's drawing to 4 outs only, maybe 7. So it's easy chk for pot control+bluff induce. We aren't strong enough to play a big pot. We should call most river bets if we chk turn and bet good rivers obv, i dont hate checking it behind though if an A or K comes.
