Default Turned my set, now do I fold? 100NL

Villain is 20/17/3 and seems reasonably solid. The only hand I have seen him show down, he raised A5o from the button, both blinds called. He checked behind flop and turn when he flopped trips. So I expect him to slowplay big hands to some extent.

My first decision was whether to raise the turn or not.
The board is really drawy, which is what led me to raise. But do I then fold to his push?

Apart from a combo draw, 44, or an overplayed two pair, I can't see much I beat. And I really felt like this was a str8.

So do I fold?

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero checks

Call - He was in the BB, could have 10-4 - 10-8 or like you said a combo draw. Even if he has a straight, we have outs.

I think the combination of these makes this a call.

How aggressive have you been post-flop? This adds to the equation.

I feel like my hand is face up as a set or better here, so if villain is solid (as per current read) he shouldn't be raising 2 pair here. Right?

[/ QUOTE ]you cant raise/fold your set here...if you feel like he isnt calling/shoving worse, then just call turn....but your line is good, now call.

i really dont think that this is a very fun call to be making. however, you have invested too much and you have okay equity against a reasonable range.

i call and feel meh about it.

I assume MP folds to the push? In bb it could be 44. Problem is if it's TT or 88 you're practiclly dead. I think it's very close but I see enough weird stuff at these tables to make it a call I think (Harringotn's 10% bluff %age probably). I think given how far you are in you have just enough equity to justify it but I won't be too optimistic getting the chips in.

Sorry, yeah MP folded. Must have edited that out when I removed the results.

I think I knew it was a call once I raised.

I guess the question then is, should I just call the turn bet? That seems pretty weak with so many draws there.

You probably have odds to call against a straight. If you look at the hand from BBs point of view, the only legitimate hand you could have is 77 (maybe J9s). Why can't you have picked up a combo draw, I don't see why BB can't have a good 2 pair combo here.

you have to raise the turn given the drawiness of the board. any other action is very bad imo and anyone who suggests otherwise is being results oriented.
