how those saloon keepers could ever make a buck

Apparently it helps save on costs if they buy furniture made out of break-away balsa wood.

I'm a big fan of this movie cliche. My favorite variation is the killer chop to the neck, parodied to great success in the Naked Gun 33 1/3. Sometimes in kung fu movies all it takes is a kick to the stomach to knock someone out.

can't remember which movie it was --- but this was NOT
a superpower action hero movie... and some guy took a
huge swing with a lead pipe --- hit his opponent in the
face --- and they kept fighting...

can you imagine how tough those guys must be?!

LOL -- at the bar tender making a living remark.
those guys and the poor open-market fruit vendors
whose carts seem to drove extreme violence like
magnets.

if i was ever doing an action movie, i'd have my
fight go blissfully right by the fruit cart...
the fruit vendor sighs in relief... then the 2
fighters double back for no reason, and dump over
the guy's cart!

I actually saw this happen in a flick before. The Bond film destruction of fruit vendor stands cliche is a familiar one, and definitely needs plenty of parodying. Maybe one day a Bond film should just jump a boat directly onto a fruitstand and get both things out of the way at once.

My plan is to have both cars dodge the pushcart of fruit, and then after they pass it the cart erupts in a massive explosion.

How about the fruit cart itself explodes?

Doh, skimming too fast, read cart as cars.

My favorite cliche is how some dude always gets kicked through a window 20 stories up and somehow lands in a dumpster sideways without getting hurt. I love it when they mix it up a a bit and have the guy fall into a pile of rusted, non-impact resistant gas cans.

I can tolerate the sneak attack to render the bad guy unconscious. I really hate when there's a group fight scene (where the bad guys just pour onto the good guys, but keep getting their asses kicked) and people get punched once in the face and just fall over and don't get up. It's sort of the same thing, but given that our hero is outnumbered 50:1 every time, it's more annoying to me.
