Default 100NL Look what I maneuvered myself into......

Preflop is gross, I know. I was taking a shot at stacks with implied odds with a draw against initial raiser, who was 12/8 and I felt I could outplay him. Knowing my call PF was bad against him, Button read is: Very aggro, 21/12/8 with 13 AF on flop and 82% cbet. He is on several of my tables and has been raising me PF pretty lightly. He likely sees me as aggro as well, although I have folded to his aggression several times. Is this Qx/KK/AA enough to be profitable? Is my flop float terrible? I saw turn card as Yahtzee!!!!! Now that i have myself in this situation, I have to play this way, right?

I dont really understand what you mean by having a draw preflop but thats neither here nor there. I think preflop is pretty bad too unless villain has been known to squeeze alot. [ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ] I would not float oop for one. I think your beat on the flop but after calling preflop I am going to call at least the flop and on the turn I think you do hit your miracle card and need to get it all in

You float flop....lets say the turn is any card below the Q (obv A,Q is most likely good card K not so good) even pretend its not a club and he fires 66 at you. Now what are you doing? I don't see a plan for this hand.

Analysis from a NL10 player..

Yeah, I can't play AQs this way. Making a $50+ pot preflop with ~$140 stacks commits you to any A/Q high flop. His pf raise sounds like QQ+ or AK, putting you way behind. I can get away limping to a raise with AQs, and play it for monster status (flush/str8), but I let it go if the pot seems to want to favor a top pair hand.

Turn is jackpot, I am assuming you were way,way ahead here? He must be JJ,KK, AA, or possibly AK(c)?

f1sh--in the position I was in, sandwiched and in a RR pot, I feel that AQs is turned into a drawing hand. I am looking to flop two pair or a strong draw. I float only on this villain in this type of hand, due to his high flop AF. Against a more passive villain I fold preflop and I don't float OOP. His cbet range on that flop is very wide, and maybe as low as 99 or Ax clubs.

Trebek...my plan on a blank turn was to check fold, as I believe if he was not afraid of my flop call, and fired the turn, then I had to be behind. If he checks behind a blank, then I fire river because I put him on AK or a lower PP that is afraid.

That being said, this shows my propensity to get involved in big pots in bad positions....

Don't doubt your preflop call, I think it was expert.

Preflop is honestly disgusting.

Your flop call is also gross. Just fold. Well yes he can be c betting Ahi here sometimes, what do you do when he fires a second barrel on the turn when you don't spike your Q? What about when you do hit your Q and he has TT? AQ for the chop? See what I'm getting at here, you don't have lots of ways to win this hand. Also, if you put in any significant action post flop, it's going to be hard for you to get paid off because of how transparent your hand will look as a strong holding. You are not getting more money out of him when he has JJ either.

If you did stack AA/KK here, it certainly isn't the norm, and villain is likely to show up w/ TT or another AQ also. You played bad and got lucky.

Seriously consider how many times you are going to be put in a gross spot on the turn here when you don't hit your gin card.

This whole hand is gross, and from your comments on the hand, I think maybe you should drop back down a few levels and work on your game.

Okay Ryan, thx for the comments.

However, I do not suck so bad that I need to drop down a couple of levels....I do win at $100 and I crush $50, so no need to drop to $25....
