I personally much prefer the uk version but i think alot of this is to do with different sense of humours each side of the atlantic.

I think the uk version of the office is one of the best 5 comedy's ever made, my other two would be Fawlty Towers and Only fools.

Oh yeah Lost is good, definitley worth watching, but as has been said on here you real do need to watch from the very start to follow it.

just re: discussion of the Office TV show - you are talking about the original, UK version, right?

The Office (UK) = Original = Awesome

The Office (US) = Re-make = Very mediocre

[/ QUOTE ]

This is so wrong. The first season was kind of weak. But since then The Office is hands down the funniest show on TV.

Do love fawlty towers. Speaking of Britsh comedies, did you like The Young Ones? There were some moments of inspired genius in that show.

Yeah i have watched the Young ones, was a bit hit and miss for me. Really funny at times, sometimes i just seemed to miss the point of it. Was slightly before my era though, though so was fawlty towers, but that has a timeless quality about it.

a testament to the low quality of television and the direction our country is headed.

[/ QUOTE ]

well said. What are we headed for when the list of highest rated tv shows is as follows (taken from nielsen website):

American Idol
Dancing w/ the Stars
CSI
Sunday Night Football
Greys Anatomy
House
Survivor
Deal or No Deal
Lost
Desperate Housewives
Two and a Half Men

[/ QUOTE ]

all that [censored] is dumb. you really can't find anything better to do with your time ?

[/ QUOTE ]

This statement is kind of ironic since were all posting on an internet forum.
