Anyone have any comments on his raise size? This is a very good and aggressive player putting in almost half his stack.

I actually thought SB was me at first...

I dont see a good player raising that amount with anything but AQ, AK, KK, and AA. 22-QQ he would push. Reason being it would suck to be first to act on a high board with 99 etc.

Also, i dunno who button is but coldcalling with KK+ in his position has become a popular play lately.

I fold and wait for a better spot.

edit- fyi..i love making this play with two high cards from the sb...then taking adv of my fold equity on the flop if i get a caller. no idea if he's capable of doing that though...

Does SB ever get called here?

Crappy spot. I think I fold because if he has AK he's probably pushing 95% of the time, which is a lot of combinations your hand has a lot of equity against. However, I think this small raise is a bigger pair a lot of the time. I'm still not sure. What's the squeezer think of you pf?

Well, I'd been quiet and non-existent since the break. Well, as usual, on review my image may not have been as weak-tight as I thought but certainly there was no reason to think I'm opening all that loose.

Basically, I had two thoughts. My image was tight so I figured he'd have to know I had a hand of some sort. OTOH, I reckoned there was some third-level thinking in the raise size. He's committing himself with this bet but he's trying to make it look like he wants action. From many other players, this looks like, and is, strength. In this guy, I reckoned it was possible that he was trying to look really strong, without being that strong.

Yeah , this tought was in the back of my head when I was looking at op. Could this be AK AQ doubtful, 77-99 possible, JJ+ most likly.

Any way you look at it Villian made a pretty impressive move here. If it was with a worse hand , you just got out played, it happens. If it was with a better hand you made a great lay down, and out played him.

I'm not sure whether I like villain's play. He had KQo and finds himself potstuck with crap too often for this to be profitable/optimal. I just don't see myself or CC-er both folding often enough. I could be wrong though. I guess I'm folding a bunch there, but nothing, except AJ, that he should want me folding.

Wow that is pretty sick, hard to tell what he was thinking there.

Expect , I hope they fold or CC than I will push any flop.

Did, you shove or CC shove, or did he just show.

I think showing there is pretty bad for his table image, ie going to have to have hands now.

I shoved. I thought his bet size was fishy and my hand is near the top of my range. I didn't like shoving because he's priced in and I didn't think he was doing this with 99. I reckoned it's high cards or I'm toast but it was such an obvious spot for a squeeze that I just had to look him up.
