Bodog says no to Canadians
Canadians cannot play on Bodog. I find this extremely peculiar as it is not due to legislation. My understanding is that some time ago Canadian credit card companies allowed
deposited amount to be reversed resulting in some bad debts for Bodog. So in ther wisdom they decided to ban all Canadians from their site. Correct me if I am wrong. If this is the case then why don't they fix there internal controls to ensure Canadian deposits are "good". To me banning Canadians completely from their site is bizarre over-reaction. |

Re: Bodog says no to Canadians
The reason is that the founder is Canadian and he doesn't want to jeopardize the ability to ever come back to Canada in the future. Google Calvin Ayre - the guy is a billionaire so he doesn't really need Canadian players too badly

Re: Bodog says no to Canadians
Doesn't it have something to do with Canada's government having a monopoly on sports gambling? I'm not Canadian but this is what I've always heard. Since he is Canadian there is no reason for him to jeopardize himself.
