Haven't read the rest of the answers. But I wouldn't slowplay in position here. Make a weak looking c-bet (like 1.5 or something) if he folds to that, you won't get too much out of him anyway.

Waiting for the turn is okay too. But I certainly wouldn't min-raise. The way you played it, you would have to fold to a bluff with a non-pairing [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] river. So raise some more, to 5 or 6.

Thanks for the responses so far. I see why i want weak Aces to call, itīs just frustrating sometimes. I usually make bigger raises when OOP to discourage multiway action.

Yeah, this was the funny aspect of this hand. Villain had Ac6c and that King of clubs was a "false friend".

This made me wonder how much he would call on the turn with the flushdraw (or a straight draw) ? Is he going to call a weak flopbet with nothing but 2 backdoor draws ?

after betting $1.50 i imagine he would call another $3 on top.
Also, it is important to remember that if your opponent has a draw on the turn then you need to get as much money as possible out of them here because if they miss, and most of the time they will, then you won't get anything else from them on the river.

First, I'd try to avoid raising bigger with bigger hands. Don't know what you're standard raise is, but I'd use it with AA and KK too. This is a pretty big indicator of hand strength at 25NL.

As for the flop, it looks a good one to give a free card. But betting is good too.

On the turn, I don't like a minraise because you are making a call correct for villain if he is on a flush draw. If he's drawing, you want his call to be a mistake, so a bigger raise is necessary.

About the river: If he flopped a lower set, then despite how passive he played it the money was going in anyway. If it turned out to be Ac Qc, then just be happy he's at your table.
