so would we both be allowed to play in the sunday million for example or would that be frowned upon?

You're fine.

That's the worst advice I ever seen anyone give.

Of course they will frown upon it. You don't want to be at the final table with your friend. You give them an excuse to withhold your winnings and they will do it.

Thats the worst advice given on something that you think is the worst advice.

Playing MTT's is fine as long as you don't collude if sat at the same table. They let you play mtt's from the same IP address so they are not going to object should you both make the final table.

Hi:

Our software will prevent you from joining the same ring game or sit&go tables automatically (I believe you can still play in the same 180man s&g's though). You are free to play in the same MTTs.

With that said, if by some chance, you find yourselves at the same table in a MTT, you had best be playing straight up - no discussing hands, no telling him what you had after you folded, etc. Playing from the same IP at the same table is a flag, and will result in your play being looked at, so make sure there's nothing suspicious to see in that play.

If a friend wants to bring his laptop to my house to play on Stars at the same time as me, would that be alright as long as we are not playing at the same tables or the same tounraments?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes. My household has 3 people who play there, two playing real money, and there has never been an issue in 3 years. We were once even seated at the same table for some 20 hands, though we avoided any talk when that happened.
