villain is bdbeatslayer, which is the only reason I think about this. he's betting 400 into a 1050 pot, he has 1775 behind and i have 2385. how do you proceed, and if you call flop what about turn, remember there is 1 random behind.

i also like a shove preflop, it kinda looks like AK so he might call you with a smaller pair...sure that means he'll fold AQ but i think he does to a repop anyway. I don't want to get bluffed off such a strong hand postflop.

Against him I'm not scared at that bet at all. Seems like he's trying to get you to fold hands like KQ AJ that missed cheaply or to get you to bluff at it with hands that his AK beats when he calls you down with A high. I shove and like it.

I've seen villains bet this amount of their stack with AA and possibly KK on no draw flops in order to get pot committed without scaring away other unimproved pocket pairs. That said, there is no way I don't get it in on this flop to avoid playing guessing games later.
