why did you bet the turn but not the river?

he pretty much never has a 4 here.... and you probly are now getting looked up by A hi and have stopped flushes from making you pay, in fact a flush may even fold (tho unlikely)

btw as played you absolutely have to call. not even close.

turn is an easy b/f. river may be a b/f or a b/c, depending on who you're playing.

"why did you bet the turn but not the river?"

Because i was annoyed and mubsy. In retrospect, a worse hand might not bet here, such as 7 or other pp, but they might call if i bet. If some one indeed slowplayed a monster or just made one, he's probably gonna raise and i can fold.

What if I told you there was a perfect tool with which you could make a great analysis of this river spot ? Anyway tool or no tool I would just b/f if reads are good.

definitely a check on the turn here. I probably check/fold against some opponents.

is villian "loose passive" by stats or read??

if by stats - what are they?

generally these guys with stats like 40/1/1 are complete retards ... and the only reason check the turn is to induce a bet from a retard

after I bet the turn and am not raise there pretty is pretty much no way I fold the river (especially after the other guy folds) ... of course I fold if raise by the guy that folded

...
of course this is a King on occasion and a 4 ... but I think this is more often almost any pocket pair (or worse)

<font color="red">edit</font>

smurph ... check folding the turn against a guy that doesn't need much to call the flop with (and a random unknown) is no-no IMO
