And The Arsenal may not get a result but they'd but up a much better fight

[/ QUOTE ] I know TOAFK isn't going to like this, but they would have gotten a better result. So would ManU as well, and its because of their style of play.

Chelsea's biggest problem right now, is not having Drogba, yeah thats an obvious statement, but when you have no playmakers in your MF, you need the big man up front to play off of. He's perfectly made for their style of play, with the 4-3-3 Jose played. I am curious if thats what they will continue to play or switch to the more conventional 4-4-2.

I referee at a decent level of football and both feet leaving the ground to tackle + making contact with opponent = red card

[/ QUOTE ]so even though only one hit him, that equals a red?

The commentators mentioned during the game said it was very harsh, but perhaps the ref warned him a few times early in the game.

I still think the Cole tackle is much worse since he's not playing the ball at all and it could have seriously injured Ronaldo (who I thought had a ok to poor game).

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, only if one foot hits it's still a red. Even if no feet hit on a two footed studs up challenge I can still see a red just for intent.

I really can't believe anyone thinks that's a sending off for Mikel and neither can anyone else who knows anything about football that I've spoken to today.

Yes because once both feet leave the ground you have no control of the tackle

Fair sending off imo. Studs up right into the ankle. I actually think Joe Cole;s tackle was worse and should also have been a red. The Saha penalty was kind of a bad call but the guy complaining about the ref giving Manchester the corner in extra time is LOL, the ref is never going to blow the halftime whistle on a corner kick or when a team is attacking, whether it is Manchester at home or not.

Mikel had one foot on the ball and hadnt completly lost control of it. I watched the game with about 20 people in the pub and no one thought it was a sending off even the scum fans.

Its worth noting that out of 20 games the ref has awarded 14 red cards. That is near on 3 out of 4 games.

So let's recap...

*[censored] red card for mikel 30 mins into the game

*1-0 scum, 3 mins into the supposive 2 mins of stoppage

*2-0 scum, thanks to perfect 10 olympic dive by saha

i'm not saying chelsea deserved to win this game, because they probably didn't, but it's impossible to tell when down a man on the road. you could say chelsea have been robbed of 4 points in their last 2 games due to poor refereeing.

also, where was belletti at this game? after two outstanding matches v. Blackburn & Rosenborg, i see the worthless piece of [censored] Ferreira at RB.

Ashley Cole, go back to Arsenal.

Moving on,

We have Hull City on Wed, and Fulham next weekend. Perhaps that fat yid Avram Grant can organize something and get us more than 1 goal for the month of September.
