Daliman's NFL Wong teasers, Season Deux: Week 2

You need to look at a collection of lines from major books to determine the best estimate of a true line for the game. Indy was a consensus -7, which means they will not cover a teaser as well as a "true" Wong teaser team will cover. Furthermore, since you're teasing from -7.5, you're only getting 5.5 points from the true line (instead of 6), so you got double-whammied. IND won't cover as much as you hoped for and you didn't get enough points. If the true line were -7.5, and you got to tease -7 to -1, that would be good for you since you'd be getting a free 1/2 point.

This week, only GB was clearly wongable, and only ARI was arguable. The ARI consensus was a mix of +2.5 and +3 with heavy juice, so I went ahead and bet it since even if it were a small mistake (and it probably isn't), it let me get more value out of the GB teaser.

What Tom said, although I guess it can be disputable if GB was a wong or not, it closed at +3 -115-120ish at most books.
I'll leave it to a mathguy to decide if teasing a +3 with lot of juice is justifiable or not.
Personally I passed this week cos I'm agreeing with Thremp's opinion that you should use the closing line.
That means Arizona covering is a....... L O C K!!!!!

Yeah, I got the bet down late last night (sleeping through it would piss me off). It was a clear wong then!

I was capped at 500 on 5D (although the AZ line shifted to 2.5, so i could get enough down). Looking at their site, $5,000 is supposed to be the limit for football. Anybody know what's up with that? Is it having my acct set for vegas-style teasers?

Limits on teasers are lower than limits on straight sides in NFL, I reckon.
