This is true with AT&T but not with apple stores from what the guy told me at apple customer service.

I also have three lines available for upgrade. If I have to use my upgrades to get the phones I will just wait to see how much$$$ they are going for and if they aren't going for enough I will play with iphones for a few weeks then return them using AT&T's 30 day return policy.
