Are a large percent let off before they work three years, or are you basically set once you get the job?

[/ QUOTE ]

depends on what you get into. traders/research people are very likely to stick around and generally have good hours. investment bankers have terrible hours a i tink a lot of them experience burnout but also a lot of them are let go after 2 years

Lol. Neither of you ever play me or anyone else that can actually play. Sitting in 10tables 24/7 and sitting out against 49 of 50 opponents qualifies in my mind as not giving action to anyone. Fwiw id love to play some $100k headsup challenge $25 $50 or $50 100.

are you kidding i have never refused any action, i never sit out, When u sat i played u on 2 tables. So who im i refusing action to? Why don't u go play godfather at 25 50 then? what non sens. When i sit at a table i will play anyone that sits, If i don't wanan play a opponent i won't sit at the table but i never sit out

I have a hard time believing that the number is so low.

Between 8-12k hands a week is a standard 'work week' for a pro online poker player, imo.

The necessary winrates at 30/60 is about 1.5BB/100.
The necessary winrate at 10/20 is about 4bb/100.

That doesnt even count rb, supernova bonus stuff or other benefits. With all of that, and playing more hands a week, it's perfectly reasonable for someone to be doing it at 15/30 or 5/10NL.

[/ QUOTE ]

rofl at making 500k at 30/60 limit

[/ QUOTE ]

What part is funny? A winrate of 1.5BB/100 at 30/60, or playing 10k hands a week?

The 1.5BB/100 can even include rakeback/fpp... which gives you more wiggle room for your table winrate.

[/ QUOTE ]

Anyone making 1.5bb/100 for 600k hands at 30/60 is basically Jesus at this point in time in the development of online limit holdem. A 2bb/100 winner a year and a half ago at mid-high sh limit is probably a 0.75bb/100 winner today given the condition of the limit games.

Average 500k a year could be making 2 million one year and breaking even every year for 3 years after that that makes the number a little higher. Still I would think its 100-150 people because as most said no one puts in enough hours, and everyone plays games over their skill level.

so once 2008 rolls around you fall off this list huh

"Mar. 19 A new analysis has found that some 44 million American jobs about one out of every three positions in the United States pays $11.11 per hour or less.

Activists Find Momentum Lifting Wage Floors (Jun 13, 2006)
Wealthiest Americans Share Soared in 2004 (Jul 14, 2006)

The report, published by researchers at a think tank called Inclusion, also says those jobs are less likely than higher paying work to include benefits like health insurance, retirement accounts or paid time off. Inclusion is affiliated with the progressive Center for Economic and Policy Research.

According to the report, the median wage for men in the United States is $16.66 per hour, which means that half of men make more than that wage and half make less. The researchers defined low-wage jobs as those paying less than two-thirds of the median male wage."
