Default Re: Straight flush mucked at 200nl Foxwoods?

Friend of mine played a hand recently....

Friend has AJ....he bets a Jxx flop
He check calls the K turn.
He check / calls the river.

Villain says "I have KJ"
Friend says "Oh crap", turns his cards face up and pushes them about 3 inches towards the dealer.

Villian then shows 95, not KJ. He has nine high.

Dealer says hero folded and awards pot to villain. Hero calls for floor who confirms ruling.

All other players complain but floor stands by his decision.

This is at Paris in Vegas (which I know is a stupid place to play poker but still....) What a joke.

RESULTS of OP......

2 floor mangers decide that because the 35h which Villain held did not TOUCH the pile of mucked cards, the hand was live. Mouth muppet was reminded of the 1 player per hand rule and allowed to continue playing, Villain never said another word until Hero (myself) left the table after verbally tearing the muppet and the floor, a new [censored].

This was about a year ago, and I still fume when thinking about it. IMO....nobody who is making a call makes the comment, and takes the action (flipping cards up over the line he considered mucking obv) that Villain did. If it were not for a comment made by another player, I would have been shipped the pot, period. Giving the Mouth Muppet some sort of ridiculous [censored] timeout, doesn't get me my $ back, wtf good does it do me for him to stand in a [censored] corner for 10 minutes, I want my [censored] money.

In other words: "Kill the best hand, so I can have some money." You are not the first person to ask the floor to kill the best hand and unfortunately you won't be the last. In the future you should refrain from starting posts in B&M if you only want to vent about a perceived injustice.

thx for the useless comment. If i wanted to vent, I would have posted the story as I was involved in it. In this case, I wanted to get as many unbiased opinions about it as possible, which is what I got.

IMO....anyone who thinks the proper reaction to the Villains action(s) during this hand should be awarding him the pot, is a fool.

IMO someone who starts a thread and then starts trolling the same thread because he doesn't like the truth after he asked for a proper ruling is breaking the rules. Please read the forum FAQ, this is a good thread - please don't ruin it.

In your opinion, anyone who thinks Villain was rightfully awarded the pot after the floor stood by a standard rule is a fool? Do you know how childish you sound and how ignorant you come off as?

Numbers

Floor ruled that Villian's hand was live. Judgment call, ruling either way is justifiable.

If Villian's hand is alive, it's his [censored] money, not yours.

Yeah, villian probably would have folded and the pot probably would have been yours, but it didn't happen. Someone saying something that they shouldn't happens all the time, it's unfortunate, but nothing you can do about it.

More importantly, lol @ heavy betting with second pair T kicker, and then taking that shot on the river.

Not only does this have NOTHING to do with the topic at hand. Considering he was doing his best to fold his hand, and everyone at the table, including anyone of you if you were there, knew it. Then yea, pls teach me. You have no idea of eithers' table image, stack sizes, or ability to fold. So stfu if you're going to make pointless remarks.

What do I need to know about table image ? Trying to angle shoot your way into winning with the worst hand puts you in the category of douche. The added bonus of getting deeply invested with JT is just icing on the cake [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
