[ QUOTE ]
are we still in favour of calling the river if the bet is more in the 2500+ range??

[/ QUOTE ]
With how this hand played out I can't imagine folding. Couldn't GP be betting $2500+ hoping to still get called by AA/KK?

As played, call the river.

I prefer betting the turn though b/c I can't see him being full very often, but having trips, trips+straight draw, or the nut OESD seems likely, so I'd probably bet $2800 on the turn.

Also, betting this flop is fine. I wouldn't do it as a default play, but betting here is not incorrect. I'd probably bet here 80% of the time.

I don't like betting the turn.

I would like to hear people elaborate on why they wouldn't want to bet the turn

I think tay's overflatcall is VERY scary, and I would say 7x or 5's full. As played, getting good odds, I probably couldn't fold the river since he could be valuebetting his trips vs ur overpair (which looks like ur hand after u called flop and checked behind turn). I woulda bet-called AI turn, assuming obviously 7x is much more likely than 5's full at this point from him. I pay off riv getting these odds with the line u took, ur hand is def underrepped on the turn, and we cannot put him on backdoor hearts.
