Default Am I afraid playing Aces?

Villain was not really active. Played a solid game.
I didnt bet the pot on the flop because i figured i was ahead. Although my usual line is to PSB.
I PSB the turn because of the BDFD.
What do you think about the check behind? I was not sure what to do.

I dont like your reasoning. DUCY?

If you normally bet pot, why in the world would you bet less when you think you are ahead? To minimize your winnings?

No, i said it because i thought it was a mistake not to PSB the flop. And actually wanted to know if it was a terrible mistake.

Bet the river for value.
You have shown strength through the whole hand and he checks the river to you. He'll probably pay you off with a J, QQ and KK. Unless you have seen him check and call monster hands on the flop and turn and then check raise the river (i.e. he's tricky) I would say it's an easy value bet.

Raise to about a $1 PF.

Maybe like $1.25 on flop.

Turn is an overbet, but he called it ,so easy river shove.

Definitely bet the flop.

As played I put villian all in on the river. The way you have played this you are probably get called by all pairs.

I value the river. Villian has $8.60 left and the pot is at $10.67. I prob bet $5.00 hoping for a call. Depends on how weaktight the villian is. Some players wont sack off if you put them 'all in', yet will call damn near their whole stack on a value.

Edit: You definately need to bet or push the river though.
