Default KTs

5-handed. I open with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and both blinds call. The SB is irrelevant but the BB is overly aggressive.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB checks, BB bets, I raise, SB folds, BB calls.

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB bets, I raise

i fold the flop too

also i think BB never folds a pair to the turn raise.

edit - ok on flop, but my second point still governs the turn action. i dont think he folds much of anything with which he should call. yes i can see him fold no pair w/ a gutshot but how often does he hold that hand.

As soon as you wrote that I realized I input the flop incorrectly. Please reread and let me know what you think now.

At first I didn't like the flop raise. Do you make the same play without the BD flush draw? Anyway, the flop raise looks pretty good to me with the overly aggressive guy since you have the two BD draws and an overcard to boot.

However, I don't like the turn-raise because I don't feel like our fold equity is very high.

What's your reasoning for the flop raise? Is it for value and to force SB out? Were you planning on taking a free card? As played, I like the turn raise given his donk and the Ace.

I like the flop raise, don't like the turn raise. As others have said I don't think your fold equity is that high against this donk. If you don't hit your draw on the river are you going to bet if he checks?

On the other hand, calling the turn invites him to bet into you again on the river when you make your draw.

I'd play exactly the same, but my turn aggression is almost five in 3/6& 5/10, so I raise propably too much anyway.

Jason,

Pot is small. You have K high. This is 6 max, and an A will call down in this spot no matter what comes on the turn and river.

If you have a good read, fine, but if you don't, let it go.
