Bellagio 10/20 Deep
Ive been at the table for quite some time now and Im sitting with about 8k. I think Villan is a newer young kid. Looks like hes 16.
So Im UTG and I look down at KK. So I limp hoping to trap. I get 2 more limpers and a man who raises to 140. Villan calls and i re-raise to 300. Old man folds and me and villan see flop. BTW Villan covers. 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] So I bet out 500 and villan calls Turn: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] So I go right heads and bet again I fire 800, and Villan Raises to 2.3K. Whewwwww. What should I do in this spot. Wasnt a scare card or anything. At this point I had him on AA trying to trap PF. And I dont think he had JJ because there was a flush draw and i dont think he would just have called. What would you have done. What was my main wrong doing. |

Re: Bellagio 10/20 Deep
PF is bad, make it at least $450-500, your RR is almost a minraise and you're giving both players sick implied odds to bust you since they know what you have and you have no idea what they have. As played, fold the turn.

Re: Bellagio 10/20 Deep
yea, ur pre-flop was a little bit risky. in some situations its alright to raise that small, but
A) you are basically telling every1, hey i've got kings or aces B) you aren't getting out the villian with a raise like that, no matter what 2 cards he holds, (i'm surprised the old man folded) c) since you are letting in A2C, you have to be prepared to muck your KK to a strong play on a suspicious board. After the flop i would have bet a little bit bigger than you did. i would make it about 700, because while the villian may call almost anything with a flush draw, 700 is big enough to get out a straight draw and probably a weak J or second pair (especially if he is a mathmatical type guy who calculates pot odds, make it too much for him to chase) your bet was pretty good, but i woulda just made it slightly bigger (esp. if the kid seemed like a gammbler (was he?)) as for the re-raise, it looks to me like he could be making a semi-bluff with diamond draw+straight draw, or that he has hit his open ender, and wants to get out a potential flush/higher straight. of course its really hard to speculate what he has without really knowing the hand better. i wouldn't rule out 99, as that as a hand he would def call a raise to 140 with, and a small re-raise to 300 with. and many people would call that flop with 99. let us know what happened |

Re raise more pre flop. Suprized old man didnt call with his odds. Terrible play. Just quit.

Re: Bellagio 10/20 Deep
based on the retardeness of this guys other threads and the responses to his "offers" for betting on the HU tourney i'd say he's probably starting them to get people to think he's high stakes so he can grim on a bet :x

He clearly doesn't play the stakes he claims and I wouldn't be surprised if he had malicious intent. |
