Things to do in Italy
I'm leaving for Italy in about a week. I will be visiting Rome, Florence, and Venice. Just wondering if anyone has been there and/or knows some things that are worth checking out? Also, some spots the mid-20's locals hang out (clubs, bars, hotspots, etc.)? Any good restaurants for reasonable prices? This will be my first time overseas. Also, how many euros can I expect to get for 2k or so dollars?

Re: Things to do in Italy
I've been in Rom, Venice and Pompeii this summer. Only about 4 days in each place so I havn't managed to do/see much. I am generally not in to partying and stuff but I visited the "triangle of booze" in Rome. It's a place in the middle of Rome with a lot of pubs/clubs and is pretty fun. Altho you should know that clubs get closed pretty early in Italy. I mostly visited all of the touristy places in Rome, coliseum was pretty cool . Venice is an awesome city because of it's history. They have a casino there too.

Re: Things to do in Italy
The Guggenheim in Venice might be my favorite art museum I've ever seen. It is in a house on the grand canal. All modern art from the 1st half of the 20th century. Not big - it won't take long to see - but the location and presentation is stunning.
Google 'best gelato in Venice' and then search it out. |
