$4/180, Early Game, JJ in the BB with Limpers

Table full of the usual loose maniacs. I feel fairly comfortable playing this situation early in a low buy-in STT but not sure here. I wouldn't mind taking it down preflop seeing as I'll be OOP but that's unlikely with these calling stations. Does anybody just check preflop and play this for set value? I suppose I could bet a little less and still hope to narrow the field while keeping the pot a little smaller. What is your standard play here early on? |

Raise more PF, but with 2 others on board, I check/fold like you did. Well done.

PF raise seems ok to me, a little bigger wouldn't hurt. Being out of position after the flop with 2 callers = c/f fold for me in this spot.
FWIW I would never play JJ for set value in this spot. Though i'm sure someone on here could make a good arguement for it. |

You need to make a very juicy raise here. Your raise is not very bad, and most of the time it will narrow the field down some. I still prefer a slightly larger raise here, to something like t260.
Your flop play is standard. |

Re: $4/180, Early Game, JJ in the BB with Limpers
I have had a surprsing amount of success with shoving preflop with my big hands over a whole bunch of limpers. It's amazing how many people limp and then call a preflop all-in.
There aren't enough limpers here to make this move, but yeah you have to make a nice-sized raise here (like 250-300). Postflop as played. |

This is fine, raise more PF but I'm not surprised by a few callers.

I like the play, and the raise PF seems pretty standard, maybe a to 240 or so but you'd get the same action. Low flop and you're golden, see overcards and you check/fold like you did.

I agree. Might go as high as 250-300 pre-flop, but seems ok otherwise.
