what if i hold K9 and opponent A9 on 99952 board... do i get the jackpot? it should be eglibe if the kicker counts

[/ QUOTE ]

What if the board is 9999A and I have a royal flush in my hand and villian has AAAA?

[/ QUOTE ]

You win the bbj of course. Quad aces full of quad nines are not only higher ranked than a royal, but even than five of a kind!
Dumb question, that was really obvious.

You misread hand, villian has AAAAA9999 not quad A's.. Then it would obv not be good vs royal+quads.. however 5A's + 49's is where I'm confused..

To be clear- a lot of dicky card rooms do require that any quads payout (say for a Monte Carlo) be made with a pocket pair. Yes this is dumb, this is also reality.

[/ QUOTE ]

QFT back on page 2 - this is where some people are confused. It's common to see house BBJ's require a quads hand to have a pocket pair IN THE HOLE to qualify.

And yes, just like any other time you play this game, the A plays. You still need 5 cards to make a hand.

The posters having a problem with the first part might be live noobs, or maybe not used to playing around BBJs with this qualification so I can kinda understand. But if you can't assemble A9999 as the hand in question, you're wrong and should stop arguing.

Also, getting caught goofing up basic poker rules does not qualify as "leveling"
