This thread is really funny, but there is a reason for the confusion, i.e. stupidity.

This hand WOULD have qualified for the BBJ on Party (and many offline poker rooms).
This hand WOULD NOT have qualified for the BJJ in many small offline poker rooms around the country (possible even some bigger ones).

The rules on Party, and at many poker rooms, is that the player must use both cards out of their hand. In this case, A9 meets those rules.
Some poker rooms (only offline that I know of) have added a stipulation that quads, with regards to the BBJ, can only be made with a pocket pair.

So some people, who only have experience with a BBJ in their local cardroom, might be confused.
