Default JC Tran, choke artist????

I just happened to take a look at CP and noticed that JC blew his chiplead and had another near miss with his second place finish. Is he unlucky or a bad shorthanded player? Either way 1.2 million aint exactly a bad showing.

That wasn't a choke, just unlucky that the guy flopped 2 pair on him. IDK bout the guy calling the raise w/ the J6 but that was the best way for him to win (out-flopping).

U must not follow enuff of these final tables lately to realize how much of a "shove-fest" they are. WPT final tables=crapshoots for millions of dollars.

JC is sort of the opposite of a choke artist, and 2nd place is actually quite similar to first in a tournament, which are very hard to win (plus the aforementioned fact that the final hand was sort of a standard-ish cold-deck).

Tournaments are "crap shoots" even with deep stacks if you want to use that term. The term is stupid though.

It was surprising that Jamie Gold won the WSOP after holding the chip lead for so long, because that never happens.

FYI, I was being sarcastic with the title. Got outflopped when he hit his A. Just sucks. I know he is an excellent player. I was definately rooting for him to take down the tourney.

WPT events have the best structure UNTIL the final table when they reset the blinds and shorten the levels to create action for [censored] cameras and to speed it up

blinds: 200,000/400,000
ante: 100,000

Mike Sexton: Oh my God Vince, he's pushed in for ONE MILLION DOLLARS with just Ace high! He's not sitting back today!
