Default Party .5/1 huge pot

Did I play this correctly? Was my bet on the flop for value or protection? If it was for protection, would I have been better to check/raise since the pot was so big? (I'm laying 18-1 on the flop bet.

Nice hand.

Your flop bet/3-bet is for value. When CO caps I'd begin to fear AA or KK. I'd have check-called the turn if I hadn't picked up the heart draw.

Played well on all streets.

vnh sir.

You may well have had the best hand all the way (although that's harder to tell without reads). Great flop for you - and surprisingly only one opponent folds. Value or protection? Not much you need protection from (a weak ace hanging in will have a rude awakening if they hit), so I'd say value.

Turn bet, again, standard. No raises means villains are probably sticking it out with pairs you beat. UTG is paying you off goot.
