Keep in mind that if they didn't get jobbed on that int it'd be a 1 score game.

Colts fans have no reason to freak out here.

As BS as the whistle was, you can't just assume the Colts would have gotten that far on the return if it hadn't been blown dead. That Whistle was loud and clear, who knows how many SD players quit rather than leg it out.

So if the Colts lose to the Chargers and the Jags beat the Chargers next week can we move them up to #3 in the all important power rankings?

[/ QUOTE ]

Seems fair, common opponents and whatnot. What happens if MIA beats the Pats?

Still, it's not a 1 score game. It's 2. Now that's not awful, but add to that a sputtering offense with more back-ups then starters and a defense that can't keep stopping SD on a short field and it's no reason for alot of optimism.

SD hasn't done anything on offense aside from that one TD Drive. They have drives of -1, 17, 13, 18, and 45 yards.

I probably come off as a homer but any non computer ranking system ought to recognize the injuries and give the Colts a mulligan if they lose this game. The number of guys they are playing without is mind boggling.

Right thus the "can't keep stopping them". If you keep giving an offense, even as bad as SD's, a shortfield with picks or punts/returns, you're probably going to give up points.

Playing without 2 starting tackles and 2 of their top 3 receivers, christ.

How many times has Manning throw into a crowded passing lane? I think that INT the DE made is the first time ever I have seen Manning throw into a passing lane with a hand in it.
