I just sat at this table and this is my 2nd hand. No info on anyone yet. Flop: ($0.65) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets $0.2, BB folds, MP1 calls $0.20. Probably should be betting the pot into villian. I bet lower hoping I would get raised and with no read I made a mistake IMO. I didn't think he had a 5 so pushed. Do you guys get it all in on this river too? Final Pot: $10.15 |

Re: 5NL -poorly played set of 4\'s gets raised on river
The bets need to be stronger on the flop/turn because of the potential draws. I'd just call the river.

Re: 5NL -poorly played set of 4\'s gets raised on river
Grunch:
You already know you should have bet more on flop and river so we'll just leave that be. I'm not really worried about the 5 either unless he called down with 55. Based on his actions preflop, flop, turn, I would say he had some form of overpair to the board. Against an unknown I don't think I would come back over the top cause I'm weak tight, but I still think your ahead of a big part of his range here. I love those guys who play AA like this and then think watch what I do on the river. What do you mean AA doesn't beat a set? Betting bigger on the earlier streets probably gets you all in by the river. Even if your betting went .50 flop and 1.25 turn. The pot is 4.15 by the river and you have 3.00 left, easy all-in. |
