Dexter 9/30: season 2 premier

Anyone else here watch Dexter? I just finished watching the first season and am pumped for season 2.

I thought the first episode was pretty good. I didn't think it was as good as most season 1 episodes, but it is developing the plot/story for what I think will be a great season.

For anyone who has not seen this show, I would highly recommend getting a copy of season 1 (unfortunately season 1 just stopped being on demand). It is by far the best show I have seen in a long time.

Agreed. A few things:

1. If I recall, the first couple episodes of the first season kinda started off slow, but were still solid. It was towards the middle of the season when the episodes were amazing.

2. I'm really interested in where they are gonna go with the whole Dexter/Doakes situation.

3. It looks as if they replaced Rita's son with another actor. No Biggie.

4. I really think Deb is not a good actress by any means. Good thing the plot more than makes up for this.

Never really noticed before/or thought about this possibility, but the fact that she is really hot def makes up for it imo.

I can't tell if she is a bad actress, or it they are just trying to portray her character in such a way that it makes her look like a bad actress.

I have to admit I'm a tad disappointed that this season is (apparently) going to deviate almost entirely from the plot of "Dearly Devoted Dexter," which was very cool. Still looks good, and I enjoyed the first episode.

FWIW the books are awesome.

Not much. But amazingly, this is one show that doesn't need it. It's that good!

Amazing show I love it. I should really read the books as well. I thought the part in the previews when he was saying in his mind "i will not kill deb, i will not kill deb..." was pretty funny.
