Re: FTP LAG THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD

[ QUOTE ] turn off the sound options [/ QUOTE ] yeah I turn off sound, set process priority to "high". you could set your MTU to 576 instead of 1500, it will improve latency but lower your bandwidth. [/ QUOTE ] Its unbelievable how many fixes people have posted on this site for this problem. I spend the good part of the weekend investigating my downline and upline bandwidth, trying to improve my internet speed, talking to Charter cable, etc. Because its clear to me that this is an internet bandwidth/speed issue because the site drums along smoothly on my same computer from a different (wired) location. It boggles my mind FTP has not fixed this. The "turning off the sound" solution is something new to me. I'll try that one tonight! |

Yes. Did you have a good time, and did you get your check?
And if you can't handle a little ribbing over your propensity to POST IN ALL CAPS and generally make many of your posts sound like the sky is falling, well, maybe the Zoo isn't the right place for you? |

Re: FTP LAG THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD
Glad to hear it!
I know what you mean about exhaustion, after 2 weeks in California (incl. Disnelyand), a week at home, and then another 2 weeks in the motorhome with our 2 kids. Good to be home! |

Re: FTP LAG THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD
I *think* it might help to turn off directx acceleration. dxdiag.exe and disable accleration.
obviously fulltilt needs a lot of cpu for some reason, I'm trying this and it *seems* to be smoother on my machine but you never know. |
