Went there few days ago. Nothing impressive, stayed for about 20 min then went to the Venetian.

There were 4-5 PokerPro tables. I was excited and eager to sit down and play. Placed my casino card in with all the money credits and started. The limits read 5-10 NL. I thought to myself, "perfect" just the stakes I wanted to play. 10 seconds later I see that it was $5-$10 Hong Kong Dollars!!! wtf? ($1USD=$7.75HKD)

Played couple orbits but was extremely bored. Didn't feel like wasting my time playing micro games so my friends and I went to Venetian.

I hope it picks up there, potentially if they can get people to be curious enough about poker. It might work but will take alot of time. Holdem can't compare to the rush of squeezing out a point in Baccarrat.

The trip was VERY fun, highly recommend anyone to go to Macau if they want a good time.

I visited Macau at the beginning of Sept. Also went to Venetian and the Galaxy and i was extremely disappointed to find out the had no poker other than carib stud.

As much as I'd love to see NLHE make it over there, I can't see the electronic forms creating much interest as with anything electronic you need to overcome the customer's fear of efraud.

Hopefully the situation will be improved for us poker players when I go back next year.

Poker is definitely coming to Macau. I think you will likely see some big games in the next year or two.

Macau is a great place to just chill and gamble for a week. It's really like a men's paradise, perfect for poker players.

Men's paradise is spot on! My friends & I didn't want to leave. We had no sleep and partied hard for 3 days straight.

As for the poker, I'm not really looking for big games, just some mid stakes No Limit would be ideal.

What other places did you go to?

They had one of those pokerpro tables on a cruise ship I was on in the summer. $6 dollar rake max 3/6 limit.

If the gaming council in Macau is really going to grant a licence for holdem poker, I can't wait. Imagine the fish. It'll be like party poker 5yrs ago...but all the fish will be rich and have tonnes of cash.
