I don't know if it would be relevant to a stock purchase decision but Six Flags' reputation as a fun place to go has sagged quite a bit in the past few years.

Magic Mountain in L.A. and Discovery Kingdom in the Bay Area are havens for gang activity. Google any theme park message board for lots of discussion on this. An Atlanta teen was recently beaten by gang members (some of whom turned out to be Six Flags employees) outside the gate of Six Flags Over Georgia.

My kids are too young for theme parks yet; but several parents I know refuse to take their kids to Six Flags properties.

Some poor girl also lost both of her feet on a ride at the Kentucky Six Flags recently.

Yeah but the only way to make it back is by buying more at 3.25 .

The new management is trying to get rid of the whole gang/teenage infested reputation of six flags and the recent guest surveys approval are at all time highs.

Also Valueline and S&P both have 12 month target prices in the 9$ last time I checked.

If the SP analyst could call a triple in stocks, he'd be at a hedge fund.

they can and do call it...all the time.

the reliability of those calls though is what determines whether they're making 100-300k in research or >$5mil running part of a fund.

Why are any of your opinions right? At least give one real reason.

I haven't seen evidence from either of you, but I am much more inclined to believe our very well informed mod over someone responding with a no they don't.

Second of all, even if this stock doesn't hit a $9 target if it makes it halfway there it will still be almost 100% in gains.

I think he was saying something along the lines of "If you make enough predictions, eventually some are bound to be right". Atleast thats what I understood it for
