The crazy thing was the dealer did stop for a second, relooked at the hands and said, "No. No straight here" and then BAM the cards were mucked and the chips headed towards the two pair! I even told him a second time and he said " no there was no straight" and finally I asked what was on the board, which I already knew, and then said exactly what the guy with the straight had and then he finally goes back into the cards and pulls things out!

If the hand was tabled, you did the right thing.

In that case, screw the guy with 2 pair.
