Sorry for the raw HH, the converter is screwing with me today. Can't get it to show stack sizes or bet sizes.

I put all my chips in because it's very likely that I'll be called.

so i really want to hear the responses to this as this kind of hand screws me regularly. I hate these as i think youre behind now and very well may be behind if the flush hits. I typically call this flop bet and reassess on the turn. I hate myself everytime i do this as im leaking chips i feel. I've started to fold hands like this pf to avoid this kind of situation - think typically the best you can do is win small to mid size pots and lose big ones

whynot, I will usually fold this hand from EP or MP, here with the button and in the very 1st level, this is too good of an opportunity to play a decent hand with position.

whynot, if you are behind, what are you behind to?

Top pair, better kicker, we have outs.
Flush draw, we have top pair and are definitely ahead.
We have as many as 14 outs here, depending on villain's cards.

so in my seeing monsters in the closet i do think youre getting called as the shortest stack involved

think sets could easily be there based on betting, aq could be kq may call based on the stack sizes. i think by pushing (which i dont hate btw)you're getting called by a higher Q (or a set potentially) and playing your tourney on a flush draw or hitting your 9 -

just think you can find better stronger positions to risk your tourney

Seems like pushing is the only option. Am I missing something here?

It's early and I'm not very good at short ball so I'm looking to double before I have to start push-botting. On this understanding, then if you push, the higher flush draw doesn't call. If it does, well you're a favourite with top pair. TP better kicker does call (if it's there) but you can still two pair or make your flush. So you're putting all your chips in when you are either a little ahead or a little behind and, personally, I'll take that chance. This is for me: I can play a stack but I find it hard to get a stack.

The other thing here is that if you do get called and win, you more than double up. More on this in a second.

good explanation - and being a bit short i like it here. think pot odds drive you here

do you do the same with a big stack? say if you had 5k in chips and the villains had say 2k
