Civ IV
Just bought the gold edition (Civ IV + warlords expansion) and have beyond the sword being shipped to me.
Does anyone here play multiplayer? I plan to play a few games first to get the hang of it but wouldn't mind trying a few multiplayer games as well.

We actually did a few 2+2 multi games a while back. The problem is that they take a looooong time, and its hard to get people to be able to get together enough to actually finish a game.
In any case, most of us were kinda bad, noble difficulty or so. I play on Warlord mostly because I like having tanks when the AI has cavalry.

I agree a game would probably take way too long to finish multiplayer (I can't even come close to finishing a game in a night). But it's still something i'd love to do. I have heard of being able to save the games, and password protect each race so the others can't snoop/spy on your civilization, has anyone tried saving games and continuing at a later time?

Right, that's what we did. But it was still hard to finish, because we'd manage to find a time all of us could play, quit for the night, and try to pick another date, etc. Hard to coordinate over more than 2-3 other people.
