Origins of \"Have a nice day\"
I've heard the phrase "Have a nice day" used twice: once on the FTP commercial with Ivey in it where he folds to his "immitator" and another time on Poker After Dark where Brunson said "Have a nice day, John" to Johnny Chan after everyone folded around to Chan, him being the big blind.
Does anyone know the origins of this phrase, or under what circumstances it's used? |

I also seem to remember Mike Matusow saying it to Phil Laak on HSP when he went busto on a bluff on a hand where Laak flopped a flush.

Have a nice day...wasn't that the yellow smiley face that had that sentence below it?

Re: Origins of \"Have a nice day\"
The phrase was coined by Johnny Moss who originally said "Nice hand, sir". It was in 1949 I believe.

Mick Foley? [/ QUOTE ] That was my first thought but I don't know how to link Mick Foley with professional poker players. |

Re: Origins of \"Have a nice day\"
It originated as a taunting question that you asked a fish after you busted him. Have a nice day? The pros are just leaving off the question mark.
