Debacle on JetsetPoker
My friend has been a prop and well-known player on Jetset for years. Today, out of the blue Jetset sent out an email to all props saying that they are disabling the prop program and all props have 6-8 weeks to cash out, EXCEPT for my buddy, whose account was to be terminated and all funds withheld. There was no explanation. When my friend emailed them, he got a response saying that he tried to defraud the company a month ago during the "Amazing Luckbox" promotion.
Here is his description of what happened: X: you could get points X: and open Boxes X: i got up to the top level X: opened it X: forgot what it was a few minutes later X: it was an entry to a tourney X: i forgot what tourney it was so went back to look X: and then it was new X: so i didnt know if you could just see what all the prizes were X: or if they kept giving me a new prize X: so i was like, i'll keep clicking till it gives me a better prize X: but it kept adding them up X: next thing i kow i got like 1200 real money, 1500 in tourney entries X: i figure - they are gonna get pissed and cancel my account (what a friend told me) X: so i tried cashing out 1000 (what i had before all this) X: and then emailed them saying there was a poblem X: they fixed it, took back all the prizes X: nothing was said X: now a month later they are saying i tried to defraud the company X: 1000 dollars a month ago X: 6500 now X: thanks for letting me get my account up before u take it all So he accidentally abused a glitch in their system. He then tried to cash out his own money out of fear, but still notified them of the problem so that they could fix it. They fix the problem and say nothing on the matter. After he plays on the site for a month and builds his $1000 into $6500, they decide to terminate his account and confiscate his money. They have been unresponsive to attempts to contact them since their explanatory email. Is it just me, or are their actions in this matter completely ridiculous? I would not trust a site that feels endowed to take all of a player's money at the drop of a dime based on such a shaky premise. Thoughts? Note: Phoenix1010 on Jetset is actually not me. I created an account there awhile ago but didn't like the site so my buddy is using it to try to talk to admins since his account was terminated. |

Re: Debacle on JetsetPoker
If he in fact contacted them with the problem and they took all the prizes back they are being ridiculous.

Re: Debacle on JetsetPoker
I think your friend is going to have a hard time getting his money back. Because Jetset has closed their site permanently.
If Jetset had a problem I think they should have closed his account immediately. They probably saw an excuse to confiscate his funds as they were closing down. |
