Re: Line check.......
call. what could he have? 66? 88? J6? J8? better kicker? 66/J6 is so unlikely and I don't think he c/c's the turn w/ 88/J8 and if he had you out-kicked I would think he c/c's the river after c/c'ing the turn. this is missed spades a lot imo.

Re: Line check.......
I'd like more information about how he plays postflop.
Otherwise it's go with your gut and __call/fold__ or wait for a better spot. And since we know he's bad, we can probably wait. As for the line you took, I think you can check behind the turn. When you call the flop and bet the turn, you're saying you have a jack, it's also possible you have a flush draw given how weak you bet the turn. I think with your kicker I don't hate checking behind on the turn and calling a bet or betting the river. |

Re: Line check.......
Gross spot.. I wrote and rewrote my thoughts over a few times so overall im gonna have to say i think its close enough that neither decision is way better than the other.. I probably fold at the time, in retrospect I would think calling is probably higher EV but obv higher variance so take your pick
Edit: I would probably call with AJ after thinking for a little, and I dont think AJ/KJ/QJ are a big enough part of his range to make it a fold so Id have to say call |
