Default 2/4 NL QQ on dry board. Lotso action

Blah. I've missed every single flop, and every one of my continuation bets are getting called/raised. I finally "hit" a flop, and i got minreraised.

Button is 24/10 and seems competent.

Talk to me.

Button ($695.70)
SB ($224.70)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $2.
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $14</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $14, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls $10.

Peel one off, hope he shuts down, but only because you have a [censored] image. Fold after that unless you hit.

So we aren't putting another $ in the pot? We just hope it goes check-check? I take this line like never so I am interested in its results.

It sounds like i should have called and reevaluated. I folded.

I honestly couldnt put him on a hand that wasnt a set here. I thought MAYBE 99/TT that doesnt believe me (and wants to find out cheaply if they're ahead.)

I do see value in calling tho, and seeing if he will check behind the turn. If so, i assume i'll check/call the river. Or would i be bet/folding?

you guys play too passive

he might have a set here, but he's probably just as likely to have 99 TT JJ A8 etc.

i jam it and pray he pays it off with a worse hand. if you're going to call, what do you do when the turn doesn't change the hand and he pushes or makes a pot sized bet? fold? jam it now if you're going to play past the flop at all.
