Default HORSE bankroll

If I had to guess, I'd say slightly less than 300bb (b/c of split pot games) is ~enough. True?

That sounds reasonable, but I think applying a bankroll formula for your win rate and deviation in the games you play would be best. It could easily be that 200 is enough, or 500, who knows?

I think the likelihood of a downswing of more than 300 bets is microscopic in these games.

About the same or less then anything else, I guess. For me that'd be about 25 big bets, which might explain why my well has run dry for the moment.

The thing about online HORSE games is that nobody knows whether they are a winning player in them because they are completely new. Sure, there have been reports of donkcacular plays in these, but most of the play that I have seen has been reasonably tight and aggressive. If you think you are a winner in these games at this point, you're going to need more hands.

That said, I would think that the bankroll requirements would be the same as the game with the highest variance, which I believe to be Stud High. If you are going through breakeven stretches in low variance games like O8, the high variance games coule easily be kicking your butt.

well.. regardless.. i never feel comfortable w/ under 500bets EVER really because as great as the games are.. theyre not going to be this good forever, especially since you said you've never really played stud 8? if you arent that good at stud/8 then you proabably are pretty rough with stud and razz.. and stud variations are a huge part of the HORSE games.

i would suggest trying to spend a lot of time on here reading stud/8, razz etc type hands on here. and luckily b/c of the explosion of these games, youll have a lot more material to study than you did 6 months ago when all it was.. was guys like Carlos, Andy, and I and others posting 30/60 and above, which is a total different ballgame, ya know?

and the good thing about stud forums is that most are actually nice guys, unlike the NL goons. dont be afraid to post stupid questions.
