Default $16 JJ pf with 3bet in front

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO (t1405)
Button (t3420)
SB (t1575)
Hero (t1400)
UTG (t4460)
MP (t1240)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to t300</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to t1240</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero?

Am I far enough ahead of MP's range to call here?

Reads? Only you know how tight/loose/aggro MP was playing. Only you know how often and how light UTG was raising, how much he was raise-folding to pushes, and thus how strong MP is likely to be to push over him.

You know this - we don't. How can we help if you don't tell us?

Sorry, 6-tabling for the first time this week and adjusting. I recall UTG being a semi-loose bad player, and MP having TAG-ish stats. I figured MP is usually pretty strong here.

If MP is decent and thinks UTG is bad/loose enough to call, then it's a pretty clear fold. If UTG was raising and folding a lot, I might think that MP just had a decent enough hand to push him out with - but it still has to be decent enough to survive all the hands behind him so it doesn't loosen his range much at all, and UTG might wake up with a real hand.

I think you're too deep to risk it here. If you could put a range on the both of them (for raising and for calling the two AIs for UTG) you could check what ICM says. I'm pretty sure it isn't a call against most reasonable ranges until you're a lot shorter than 14BBs.

i think this is where pahud comes in real handy - having stats on your opponents right there on the screen gives you a general idea of how often you're good here, but folding here can't be bad a large % of the time anyway.
