60: WTF U STOLE MY CHIPLEAD GIVE IT BACK
UTG 1900
CO 1000 Hero 3750 SB 4250 BB 2600 First hand of level, blinds 250/500 no antes SB elminated a player on previous hand calling a 1700 shove from the 400 big blind with AJ, ruining the perfect table setup of a bunch of even stacks with me with 2x pwning. Hero has been semi-active, but nothing over the top. BB has been very tight, folding away from a t4000 stack early. UTG Folds CO Folds Hero is dealt 23o Hero XXXXXXXX Case for pushing: Winning the blinds makes us chipleader. With all stacks under 10bb, and 2nd to our direct left having to worry about shorties folding behind him on every hand this will be very advantageous. If we don't push and SB does and wins the pot, any subsequent shove from us will not give us the chiplead. This will keep us from stealing a lot of blinds, and let SB pretty much pwn the table while we dwindle away. Case for folding: WTF you have nothing and you're pushing through the only guy who can bust you? If you let him dominate the bubble you are still probably going to finish ITM. Fold and get 3rd and hope for 2nd or to pick up a big hand. Also, if you don't push here, what's your range for pushing? |

Re: 60: WTF U STOLE MY CHIPLEAD GIVE IT BACK
Well presented cases.
I would also be concerned about the likelihood of (Not just the SB) but also the BB calling. If I were him, I would consider your push as standard steal against middle stack. In theory, I like the idea of pushing with a low-medium suited connector (6-7, 7-8, 8-9 but not lower) rather than an easily dominated Paint-weak kicker combo. But all-in-all, I think the hand is just a bit to weak too risk your tourney. |

You're still close enough to him to threaten his continuation - if he calls a push from you, although he doesn't bust out immediately, he will be crippled. [ QUOTE ] Also, if you don't push here, what's your range for pushing? [/ QUOTE ] Without running it through SNGPT, my feel is something along the lines of: A6+ K9+ QT+ 22+ There are still 5 players left, and I don't think you need to get desperate yet. |

i like your idea. if both mid stacks are solid players, then they shouldn't mess with you without a big pair. let the pwnage begin!

i dont know. i dont like playing super exploitable especially if the two stacks after me are owned by a regular. id need something slightly better here than 100%
