what's up with "because you heard him".. ben wants to be the only one to be able to hear jacob? maybe he wasted locke because locke was getting too "in tune" with the island/jacob...even moreso than ben. that's if there even IS a jacob, which i guess there is, unless (totally possible) it's an elaborate scheme involving hallucinagens and some wizard of oz style trickery.

someone said Ben only shoots him once and knows he heals quickly. I would put money on him not being dead for this reason.

in the panic they show an old guy w/ a white beard/hair (maybe no beard). For about 1sec irl.

go back again. You dont see him in the chair, you see it zoomed up on his face.

Here's my theory:

They will make us think Locke is dead well into Season 4 but he isn't.

Rousseau will save him.
