B,

I'd love to - and will probably do so next year, but I simply can't take the time off work at the moment. 7 days a week at the moment with the federal election.

No worries man, let me know if you want to swing down for a drink and i can introduce you to people as "one of the hero's of the absolute scandal."

I assume broadly supportive.

There's certainly no negative connotation about uniforms, if that's what you mean.

What exactly is "mateship" and how is it different than friendship? This seems to be a uniquely Australian thing that I never quite understood even after three months there.

What's up with this? Here's a quote from the article [ QUOTE ]
Ms Katzmann gave the example of a woman on a first date who might not want to have sex but after both she and the man had drunk too much said "Yes".

The next day she feels guilty and tells her mother, who goes to the police.

"That would be rape under the new laws," Ms Katzmann said. "The fact that he was drunk cannot be taken into account. The fact that she was drunk is no excuse for him.

Well I'm officially going to be living in Bondi Beach from January 5th to mid-April as I have both my ticket there and my apartment. Not 100% sure of plans after that though.
