Default Re: Has anyone played at Treasure Island in Vegas?

[ QUOTE ]
This thread has pretty much convinced me to play and maybe stay at TI on my next trip to Vegas (hopefully one before the end of the year).

I mostly play 1/2 NL in AC, so the 1/3NL sounds very good to me.

How are their hotel rooms and hotel poker rates? Ease of getting them?

[/ QUOTE ]

Their hotel rooms were recently remodeled, and from what I have heard are more then satisfactory. Though standard as far as size and amenities, it is obviously nicer then the dumpy properties, but nowhere near as nice or swanky as Venetian or Wynn. It is a AAA Four Diamond resort.

The poker rate requires 6 hours of play a day Sun-Thurs, and 8 hours per day for Fri-Sat.

ALL people staying in the hotel room can combine their hours for the stay. Tournament hours count towards the room rate as well as cash games.

To get the poker rate, you need to book your room through casino marketing, and Danette or Chris will take care of your rate in person once you qualify. Just let them know when you get to the room that you are a poker rate customer, and they will take care of the rest. Calling the poker room directly and having Danette transfer you to marketing is often the best play (she works dayshift, and is the best go to person in the room). Calling marketing directly can often lead to confusion, as often you end up with the wrong department.

The hourly comps of $2 per hour, uncapped, are earned through cash games only. The comps are good at all TI restaurants, and there is no maximum per trip you can earn and redeem. They are available instantly, as soon as you get up from the table.

Feel free to send me a PM for more info. I play there about 15-20 hours a week, so I can happily answer any other questions you may have.
