Broken bone question
I googled in advance of posting this, but wasn't able to find much help.
I hairline fractured my collarbone playing basketball a couple years ago (running full speed on fast break, tripped from behind, collarbone meets metal basketball support). The initial x-rays didn't show the break because it was pretty small and the swelling was holding the bone tightly together. So after a few weeks when it felt better I started trying to do active stuff again, it hurt like hell, I went back to the doc for another xray and this time the fracture showed. Anyway, it's been a few years, and other than very occasional soreness, I haven't had any problems. Except lately, the soreness in that spot has been a lot more frequent. It seems like every day when I wake up my collarbone/shoulder area aches. Is this standard for previously broken bones as you get older? (I'm 29). Or could it be due to the weather getting colder? Am I just sleeping wrong on it? Should I see a doctor? |
