edit: is this a keeper league b/c that would change everything?

[/ QUOTE ]

no it isn't

edit: but i definitely see where you're coming from

[/ QUOTE ]

lol thank you i finally get the upper hand on my friend who is a "expert" fantasy player

over aim

Friend: just a second
Friend: what type of league is this
Me: 10 team
Friend: keeper?
Me: 5 vs 5
Friend: it has to be a keeper league
Me: no
Me: i dont think so
Friend: it has to be
Friend: chris ianetta in the 9th round?
Me: he didnt say it is in his post
Friend: matt kemp
Friend: howie kendrick
Me: his league is on scoresheet.com?
Friend: i can almost guarantee it
Me: is that always a keeper? that website?
Friend: ive never heard of it
Friend: but usually those offshoot sites are

Part 2

Me: i made a post asking him if its a keeper league
Friend: good
Friend: im positve it is
Friend: eric patterson is in double a
Me: well someone must have had a sweet team
Me: if they didnt keep vlad
Friend: you dont keep guys like vlad
Friend: you keep guys like sizemore, who ironically wasn't kept
Me: i think it depends on the amount of keepers you are allowed to have
Friend: im on low battery

Moral of the story, he really doesnlt like your team, i wonder what crackpots opinion will be?

why did you pick eric patterson???
also personally, i dont like taking pitchers in the first 5 rounds, but ben sheets???

can you copy/paste the draft order of each team? the reason is if roy hallday is still on the board, why would you take ben sheets before him, you should have taken chris, roy, carlos, webb before ben sheets for sure (at least in my opinion, im very curious what others and crackpot has to say)

quick noob question for a roto 6x6, non-keeper league, draft is tomorrow:

we have added OPS and Holds to the standard mix (so its AVG, SB, R, RBI, HR, OPS vs ERA, W, SV, WHIP, K and H), how much would these alter draft rankings for hitters and pitchers, respectively? are there any particular, or popular players who become more or less valuable here?

it seems like setup men obviously gain some value, as do high-OBP guys on offense, but most of the really high OPS guys are already valuable for their power, runs and average. so my intuition is that it changes very little on offense (other than making empty-average and speed guys a bit more of a liability in other departments).

EDIT: 12 team fun-only league if that makes a difference

oswalt - gone
carpenter - gone
webb - gone

zambrano - i really disagree

i also think that sheets > oswalt

edit: whoops, i was wrong about oswalt already being gone

i still think sheets is the better pitcher

I just went through the first 40, to show where i dont get people, everyone in bold besides Jose (who is a major steal at 9th) was picked too early.

also about Howie look at his numbers,

25 (runs) 4(hr) 30 (rbi) 6 (sb) .285 (avg)

okay he did this in 267 ab, but why not take robinson cano, ryan zimmerman etc. in fact you could have taken so many players i cant list then all.

also Dice-K 41's pick WTF??????? I think i screwed up taking him at (93) Daisuke Matsuzaka SP (on one of my teams)

Go to yahoo<<<draft central<<<Draft Analysis and look at the avg taken
how the hell did a-rod drop to 18 and jose to 9 and cabrera was at 2?

edit: also noticed takashi saito being taken at like 76 avg pick 150.

your corey hart/chris young 20/20 sleeper types are even more valuable because they won't kill your ops. guys like reyes lose value because they're a hitting category drain.

as far as pitchers, closers just got a lot less valuable.

this isn't a roto league. steals count for very little. thus reyes at 9th is laughable and terrible.

howie is going to get a full season this year. but i almost took both players you mention there.

we are not professional fantasy baseball players lol. i think player 9's team is laughably bad.

Go to yahoo<<<draft central<<<Draft Analysis and look at the avg taken
how the hell did a-rod drop to 18 and jose to 9 and cabrera was at 2?

edit: also noticed takashi saito being taken at like 76 avg pick 150.

this isn't a roto league. steals count for very little. thus reyes at 9th is laughable and terrible.

howie is going to get a full season this year. but i almost took both players you mention there.

we are not professional fantasy baseball players lol. i think player 9's team is laughably bad.

okay so its H2H makes more sense with jose

and i dont mean to come off mean, more like confused.

btw howie avgs. to be 140.7 pick.

also weird that you guys love taking rookies/prospect so early you can probably get some quality players in fa.

edit: who ever got rios at like 169 is a steal considering he avgs at 118
