Do I have to feel bad about ratholing? I don't like playing deep. Occasionally someone will get angry at me for it.

Standard?

I know it's a small sample so I'm guessing this sort of luck isn't that unusual.

not that unusual, although it is a decent little run of not winning showdowns. Note that your expected earn on your allins was also at zero, which suggests you wern't finding great edge s or anything.

Yeah I noticed that, but I guess you play what you get and this was a fairly good spot...

I don't think running 200bb below expectation is really drastic at all over any sample size. I did that in a single hand last night.

I feel that 300bb swings happen daily to me (up and down). Isn't that normal?

Weekend Goal

1. GET into PLO FTOPS on Saturday!!!!! After winning the two PLO rebuys it would be a sin to pass up the $300K PLO tournament.
2. Win the PLO FTOPS
3. After winning FTOPS finally break the news to my Dad that I am gambling online lol. Winning would soften the blow. [ hopfully]

Big goals for a simple weekend, but hey I can dream.

[/ QUOTE ]

So I accomplished goal #1 but I failed 2 and 3. I feel really bad about it to because Roundtower staked me for 1/2 of my buy in to the PLO FTOPS. I am so sorry. I was going out there to try and win it and unfortunately I didn't have the momentum to get to a money placing let alone the win. Damn!!! I hate losing so much. I got 147th.

New goal:
1. Play the PLO $109 FTOPS Rebuy which is next Saturday.
2. Win the FTOPs PLO Rebuy ( I feel I have a better chance at this one it is fullring )
3. Finally move out with my winnings??? Oh and
4. Tell my dad I am playing poker for money without him having a cardiac arrest.

Unless your dad is funding your poker habit, what business is it of his?

I live at home and he pays for me to go to school and living expenses, so I guess in a way you can say he is funding my life.

But mostly I just don't want to upset him.

It goes against his religous beliefs.
